14 Weeks in-person Therapy Group Series in New York, NY
LGBTQ+ Adults who are currently estranged from one or more members of their family for a variety of reasons including boundary violations, abuse, addiction, mental illness, cultural conflict, or irreconcilable relational harm.
What to expect
The group will meet weekly for 1 hour from May 1st, 2026 for 12 weeks (observing Juneteenth and July 4th) in a virtual or in person (Midtown Manhattan setting). Virtual or in person will be determined based on interest of either format.
This group is focused on support and coping skills development. This group is not suited for individuals looking to reconcile with their family, rather focuses on empowerment, found family, and connections outside of family of origin.
I am a Mental Health Counselor. I am nonbinary and queer identifying and have both professional and lived experience with family estrangement. I have draw from evidence based and trauma focused modalities such as ACT, CBT, and EMDR to provide practical strategies to support your exploration of you experience.
I hope to provide a supportive space with my co-facilitator, Navin for exploring family estrangement and knowing that you are not alone in this experience.
