Who this group is for

A supportive online group for adults struggling with persistent health worries and medical anxiety.

Living with Health Anxiety: The Daily Reality

Constant Vigilance: Every body sensation becomes a potential threat. A simple headache spirals into fears of a brain tumor. A racing heart convinces them they're having a cardiac event. Your body has become a minefield of threatening sensations.

Endless Research: Hours lost down internet rabbit holes researching symptoms, reading medical forums, and self-diagnosing with increasingly serious conditions. The brief relief from one Google search quickly fades, prompting another.

Medical Appointment Cycles: Either avoiding doctors completely out of fear of bad news or becoming frequent visitors seeking repeated reassurance. Neither approach brings lasting peace.

Relationship Strain: Loved ones have grown weary of providing reassurance. Some have started responding with frustration ("You're fine!"), while others enable the anxiety by participating in constant checking and reassuring.

Mental Exhaustion: The constant internal dialogue about health is mentally draining. Even during "good" moments, they're waiting for the next symptom or worry to appear.

Shame and Isolation: You feel embarrassed about your fears, knowing they seem "irrational" but unable to stop them. Many feel alone in their experience, believing no one understands.

Life Limitations: Activities, travel, and opportunities are missed because of health fears. Your world has gradually narrowed as you avoid situations that might trigger anxiety or be far from medical help.

Desire for Freedom: You desperately want to experience life without the constant companion of health fears. You want to interpret body sensations normally again and reclaim mental space for things that bring joy.

Hope for Change: Despite repeated setbacks, you maintain hope that there must be a way to break free from this cycle of fear and find a balanced relationship with your health.

This group offers not just techniques but understanding – the profound relief of being with others who truly get it and have walked the same path toward recovery.
