Who this group is for
This group provides a space for personal growth, camaraderie, and mutual support. It's an opportunity for high-functioning men to enhance their lives, build resilience, and connect with like-minded individuals.
You'll learn how to set, share, and achieve goals. You'll find commitment and accountability.
Men often fear judgment and vulnerability. This group stresses confidentiality and respect.
The group will establish ground rules around things like effective listening, empathy, and confidentiality.
What to expect
STRUCTURE • Begin with check-ins: Each member briefly shares what's up. • Group members set the topics: personal development, stress management, addiction, financial fears, loneliness, boredom, self-comparison, relationships, etc. • Guest speakers: If there's interest, we may Invite experts to cover specific topics.
ACTIVITIES & EXERCISES • Mindfulness exercises: relaxation techniques or meditation. • Journaling: therapeutic writing, reflection, process challenges, measure progress, etc. • Practice: communication skills, conflict resolution, assertiveness, etc.
As the group leader, I will act as a coach even though I'm a licensed psychotherapist. This frees me up to be more casual and personal with you.
I teach group therapy on the grad level (Pepperdine University), and I've personally done and coached men's work (The Mankind Project) as well as 12-Step work.
There is no agenda you have to follow; my goal is to meet you where you are, and we both rise from there.
