Jill is offering a new in-person group for young adults (ages 18-26) for improving coping skills while connecting in nature with peers. This 4-week session group offers both clinical support for strengthening coping strategies but also opportunities to practice skills out in the real world, together. Movement and exercise promotes improved mood, more energy and better sleep. Being in nature helps reduce stress and replenish our cognitive resources. Social engagement can improve our sense of belonging and fulfillment. The benefits of incorporating all of these components are unlimited! Accepting new clients on an ongoing basis for this short-term group opportunity.
What to expect
This group is a four-week in-person session. It meets in the Studio City area of Los Angeles on Tuesday mornings from 10-11:30am. Since this is a short-term group with a limit of participants per session, clients who join the group are expected to attend all sessions as scheduled. This may require a flexible schedule to account for attending session, as well as considerations for travel time/transportation to and from group.
I have been working with young adults for the greater part of my career as a therapist. In working with this demographic, I hear a lot about feelings of loneliness, desire to connect with others, and uncertainty about meeting new people. I love this group because it offers so many components that many young adults are looking for... Movement and exercise promotes improved mood, more energy and better sleep. Being in nature helps reduce stress and replenish our cognitive resources. Social engagement improves our sense of belonging and fulfillment. If this sounds good to you, or could be good for someone you know, please reach out to learn more about this exciting rare gem of a group!
