If your childhood was "normal" but you still feel alone or like you don't know yourself, this group is for you. Get the support + tools you never got growing up
This group is a good fit for any adult who: - Felt unseen, misunderstood, or alone growing up - Tend to think their childhood was "normal' or "not that bad" but still struggle with things like self-worth, people-pleasing, trusting others, setting boundaries, perfectionism, avoidance, conflict resolution, emotion regulation, etc - Feels disconnected, empty, or like something's missing - even when things are going well - Grew up with an emotionally immature, unavailable, or critical parent - Wants to break generational cycles in their family but not sure where to start
What to expect
Each group session consists of a check in, process time, and psychoeducation + skills section.
Each week covers a new topic and handouts are included with each one to assist in learning and integration of new info and skills, and to use as a resource after group ends
Group members are encouraged to plan around group times as best they can, only missing if there is something that is outside of their immediate control, such as sickness or death in the family. Support Groups are successful when there is regular attendance on behalf of all the participants. This creates consistency and predictability, which are the foundation of building trust and safety.
