my Story
Day-to-day life often leaves no room for one’s inner dialogue. We can have trouble finding the words that describe how we feel. Work anxiety, lingering resentments, ambivalence around one’s own sexual or gender identity, rage, fear: all inhibit our ability to know ourselves. Therapy can give you the time and space to listen to your inner voice and say what is on your mind.
I offer several ongoing interpersonal process groups. Some groups have specific formats — like Social Dreaming — while others work with a specific population, early-career clinicians for example. I also facilitate long-term weekly process groups for individuals who are curious about thinking and being in relation to others. Groups offer a contained space to explore relational patterns, conflict, and cooperation. We all exist within a multitude of groups: work, family, friends, neighborhood, city, country, race, socioeconomic status, etc. In a world that can feel increasingly fractured, group therapy provides a space for connection.
