As a psychologist specializing in children and adolescents, I am best suited to provide a clear idea of problems, developing an effective treatment plan, working with families, schools and other support services to create effective positive change. Only by focusing on parents' concerns and supporting their parenting style can satisfactory treatment occur. My specialty is diagnostic assessment. After 44 years of practice, my assessments provide detailed information about the child and recommendations for treatment, school intervention and best understanding of how they function. I utilize standardized cognitive and learning assessment tools and observational skills during assessment to formulate diagnoses. As the founder of Quest Therapeutic Camps, I have integrated the natural play environment of camp with the therapeutic techniques found effective for positive change. Children are best observed in a group. Effective change requires observation of the problem in real life situations. Counselors and therapists work together to support positive growth.
